You have always been a blessing to me. Your love and guidance over the years has been unending. You sacrificed so much to raise me and never did I hear you complain.  As I grew up, you sometimes appeared distant in thought; yet you always made me believe that everything would be okay.

 

I look back now over those years with maturity and a lot more wisdom. I never saw your face this closely as a child. Although your face has aged and you look so tired at times…. Mother, you have never looked more beautiful to me!

 

I see you for the gentle, loving person you truly are. My heart aches and tears come to my eyes when I realize just how wonderful it would have been, to be this wise as a child. Then I grew up and I could see through God’s eyes; I could see My Precious Mother in a “new ray of His light”.

 

Today I thank God for giving me the gift of you as my Mother. He must have thought that I was so very special.
