As parents we go through life with dreams of promise and faith in the path that lies before us. We are blessed with our children, our sons and our daughters. And we live our lives watching them grow; like a seed once planted in our hearts. We hold each memory of their journey close knowing that soon enough the day will come when their footprints in life no longer intertwine with ours in the same way they once did. And the years pass….

 

It is in knowing this that parents hold on to those precious memories; with faith in a tomorrow that our children will receive the gift of that one true person, that one Precious Friend who truly lightens their being; who surrounds them with a love so deep and blessed… and lights their way as it has never been lit before… who has walked their path of life; their footprints leading into the midst of one another.

 

It is in those moments when God looks down on us and through the grace of His love reveals what has always been meant to be…. And it is in those moments when we parents, whisper from the depths of our hearts…. “Thank You God For This Gift!”
